I initially knew you as Mr Guard, the deputy head at Chew Valley who ruled with an authority and respect not known today and unfortunately will not be known again. Do you remember bumping into me only 4 years ago after almost 35 years, we knew each other immediately, we laughed and chatted about the school days, you then challenged my friend to a "race", you on your zimmer and her in her wheelchair! We did this every time we met, had a race, sometimes with Trixie or Kate, my friend Phyllis loved those afternoons. And thats how I will remember you Mr Guard Sir, with respect and laughter. RIP x
