Jill Toman 1st February 2018

I remember Bill interviewing me when I applied for a job at Chew Valley School. I immediately respected and admired him and I found his help and encouragement as a young teacher invaluable. He was liked by all and was always fair to pupils and staff. My sympathies go out to his family, particularly Kate who I taught and knew well. His presence will be sorely missed in Ubley where he was a regular figure striding out for a walk, and even as his health deteriorated, on his zimmer frame. A very memorable colleague who made a difference to those he came in contact with.
